There are so many stories and memories I could share, and I can’t fully put into words how I feel… but this is my Marley. She had about a thousand other names — Lou, Mar Mar, Marmalade, Louis… just to name a few. Some people think it’s “just a dog,” but she was so much more than that. I brought her home at 8 weeks old when I was 21, and she was with me through my highest highs and lowest lows… my best friend, my protector. She kept me safe, kept me company, and became the sweetest guardian when Andi was born. She lived for running full speed after a ball, jumping off the dock into the water, and going for kayak and paddleboard rides. She was ALWAYS ready for a walk, and she’d bark at the 4-wheeler until she could kiss me the second I got off. And she could catch a treat mid-air like nobody’s business. In the kitchen, she was always at my feet, patiently hoping for anything I’d share — and whatever she got was instantly inhaled. We had to say goodbye when her legs couldn’t carry her anymore. My heart is broken, but I know she’s not in pain now. I’m sure she’s running full speed with all the treats she could ever want, wherever she is. Marley — my best friend, my protector. ❤️🐾 2011–2025
